Levels
The universal system of 4 levels certifications of IPMA provides the international recognition competence PM in more than 40 countries in the world.
In system of certification IPMA following four professional categories, to which applying the same concrete standards are allocated:
Director of the Project (Project Director, IPMA Level A):
Ways to operate the important portfolio or the program, and not just the separate individual project, with use of corresponding resources, methodology and tools which are a subject of certification.

Entry requirements |
Has, at least, a five years of experience in portfolio management, programme management or multiproject management, of which three years were in responsible leadership functions in the portfolio management of a company/organization or a business unit/ or in the management of important programmes. |

Shall be able to manage portfolios or programmes. |
| Additional requirements |

- Leading (signor) the project management (Senior Project Manager, IPMA Level B):
It is capable to operate the complex project. Conducting subprojects is supposed, i.e. the project management supervises over managers subprojects, but it is not necessary in the chapter of all project command.

Has at least five years of project management experience, of which three years are in responsible leadership functions of complex projects. |

- The project manager (Project Manager, IPMA Level C):
It is capable to conduct the project of the limited complexity. It specifies that in addition to the skills to apply knowledge in project management, it also has shown a corresponding level of experience.

Has at least three years of project management experience. Is responsible for leadership functions of projects with limited complexity. |
| Core competence |
Shall be able to manage projects with limited complexity and/or to manage a sub-project of a complex project in all competence elements of project management. |
| Additional requirements |

- The assistant to the manager of the project (Project Manager Associate, IPMA Level D):
It is capable to apply knowledge in the field of project management and can take part in the project as one of members of a command, but its general knowledge are not sufficient for performance more challenges.
| Entry requirements |
Experience in the project management competence is not compulsory; but it is an advantage if the candidate has applied his project management knowledge to some extent already. |
| Core competence |
Shall have project management knowledge in all competence elements. |
